4-Channel Noise Gate

 

The 4 channel noise gate shall provide four channels of audio noise gating  which can be used independantly or as two stereo pairs.
Each channel shall have separate side chain key parametric filters, switchable selection between fast or program dependant (Auto) attack modes and fully variable combined hold and release timing functions. Each gate  shall have switchable attenuation  range, key level peak and average  responding LED display and independant gate open marker LED. There shall be selectable modes for internal or  external key source, switchable key  listen, stereo linking and a system IN
to show external key source selection,  system IN status, and stereo link   master/slave designation. Inputs and outputs shall be electronically balanced via 3-pin XLR-type connectors, with  external key insert/input on 1/4" TRS jack.

The noise gate shall be capable of operating at full line level up to  +20dBv, with a frequency response  20Hz to 20kHz +/-1dB. Output noise shall always be less than -86dBv  CCIR468-2, and harmonic distortion shall be less than 0.05%. The noise gate shall be capable of operating from a  mains supply of 96-132V or 192-260V AC 50/60Hz. The noise gate shall be standard 19" rack mount 1U (1¾") high.   The noise gate shall be the BSS  DPR-504.
